McLouth should get even better

Nate McLouth should see a boost in statistics.

Nate McLouth should see a boost in statistics.

Wednesday’s trade of Nate McLouth to the Braves and three prospects to the Pirates should be a boon for McLouth owners. He hit 276 with 26 homers and 94 RBIs last season and his statistics should improve hitting before or behind Chipper Jones. The Braves had to do something for their offense and this seems like a steal. In my NL-only league, I am worried that the Pirates are dumping players already and Zach Duke could be shipped elsewhere.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Andrew McCutchen will fill the hole in center field for the Pirates. Many rank him as the team’s top prospect.

PLAYER TO WATCH NO. 2

With the Braves releasing Tom Glavine claiming that his velocity is down, you have to wonder if he is finished. I think a team will take a chance on him and my pitching in fantasy has been so poor this season - so will I.
